Coffee has been one of the most popular beverages the world over for
centuries and is indeed one of the cheapest highs. Ancient Greeks,
Romans and other civilizations partook to the drink religiously, with
the first coffee shop opening its doors way back in 1475 in
Constantinople.
The reasons for consumption vary depending on individuals and
culture. However, what has never been in doubt is the aphrodisiacal
effect of the drink. Most people know about this for sure. Studies have
revealed that coffee can increase your dopamine levels (the ‘feel good’
hormone) and kickstart your metabolism for those looking to melt down
some pounds. Not only that, it stimulates blood flow, which consequently
stimulates other passions too. Studies show that coffee drinkers are
more active sexually than non-consumers.
However, don’t drink too much of it thinking you’ll be a mule in bed:
it actually turns the tables on you and becomes a depressant when
consumed in large quantities. For best effect, skip a few days and drink
it on the D-day.
