Men will go to great extents to prove their machismo in bed. Such was the case of a man who injected some cocaine into his penis just before intercourse in a bid to enhance his sexual performance. What transpired was, however, was a case study unto itself.

The man’s penis remained erect for three consecutive days and pissing even became a painful affair. The term given for such a prolonged erection is ‘priapism’. The erection subsided on the third day while at the New York Hospital where he was admitted, but what even followed over the next 12 hours was even worse.
Blood began leaking into the tissues of his hands, feet, chest, back and genitals. Tissues died over large areas of his body as a result of blood coagulation, and doctors had to amputate his legs above the knee and all fingers, save for one, to curb the spread of the decay. Unfortunately, it was too late for his penis fell off by itself.
