Jessica Alba, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian (love her or hate her) – have one
thing in common: they are blessed in the looks department and they’ve
all given birth to daughters. This is the same reason many model mothers
have daughters who follow in their catwalk footsteps: Yasmin Le Bon,
Jerry Hall, you name them. These are real life examples to illustrate
this fact.
Dr. Satoshi Kanazawa of the London School of Economics evaluated data
from a survey involving 17,000 babies born in March 1958 in Britain and
followed them throughout their lives. Their teachers rated their
attractiveness at the age of 7, and when they hit 45, they were asked
about the gender of the kids they sired.
Those rated as attractive were more likely to have daughters than their not so beautiful counterparts, according to the journal Reproductive Sciences.
Another study of 2,000 Americans established that women are growing
more beautiful over the generations (they are, right?) since the pretty
ones have more children than their plain counterparts – and a higher
percentage of their children are girls.
